This custom front grill is designed for the Datsun 280Z and uses the factory mounting locations.
Skillard's 280Z Front Grill with Turn Signal Delete fills the whole front opening for those that wish to convert to the 240Z turn signals or use another configuration that removes the 280Z turn signals.
Installation requires a simple trim of the turn signal bucket to acquire proper fitment, it is explained in the installation video.
Installation hardware is included, as well as adjustable brackets to fine-tune fitment on a 40+ year old car.
The grill is made completely from light weight aluminum and extends down lower than the OEM grill to fill the void left when the bulky front bumper is removed.
This front grill is compatible with the Skillard S30 Front Air Dam & Splitter Kit.
It can be used with the Type 1 air dam as shown in the pictures, or it can tie into the OEM lower grill to work with the factory valance. However, for owners who want to retain the factory lower valance, we recommend the Skillard 280Z Tall Grill which replaces the OEM lower 2-slat grill, incorporating it into one, seamless front grill.
This grill is much more rigid than factory version and will promote increased durability.
For those who plan to install an OEM 240Z front bumper, or Skillard's Aluminum 240Z-Style Front Bumper, this can be done without modification to the grill if you use our 260Z/280Z Bumper Brackets for a 240Z Bumper (front brackets). They are designed to fit through the Skillard front grill slats.
*NOTE: This grill will not fit with the 280Z front bumper installed.
